Walton Street Office
71 Walton Street, London, SW3 2HT
Home of London’s prestigious Museums (the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum) and possibly one of the world’s best University’s – Imperial College and the amazing French Lycée Charles de Gaulle, the area has a unique feel. There has been a revival of the lower end of Exhibition Road where the area now bustles with wonderful coffee shops and restaurants whilst older shops continue to trade, such as South Kensington Books (there is also a very good pharmacy in the Tube Station). Moving nearer the Lycée you will find the well-known French book shop Librarie La Page and the newly opened Cocotte for your French “traiteur” experience. Naturally a gorgeous éclair from Maître Choux will not go amiss! As you head into Bute Street you are greeted by wonderful shops such as Six Pouce Trois Pied (six thumbs, three feet) and La Grande Bouchée delicatessen (they import their baguettes from France!) and Oddono’s for some of the best ice cream in London. The Hummingbird bakery is not far if you are still hungry or you could continue the French theme with the incredible Aux Merveilleux patisserie. Local restaurants such as Yashin Ocean House and a favourite “Chucs” are well frequented by the Locals.

A little bit of history
Today Fulham may be one of the most expensive and desired places to make a home in London, but it was not always the case. During the 18th Century Fulham was known for debauchery and was where wealthy Londoners came seeking gambling and prostitution. Fulham remained a working class area for some time, undergoing regeneration between World War II and 1980s to become the well-to-do area it is today.
Need to know
A loaded die is sometimes known as a 'Fulham' possibly because of the areas once corrupt reputations.
