This month, we dined at 50 Cheyne Walk and what a delight it was. With big boots to fill, sitting in the stead of The Cheyne Walk Brasserie, 50 Cheyne Walk is a charm. The attentive waiters keep their distance which, along with the gentle hubbub of background noise, allows for talk of matters most delicate with clients. Thankfully, this was a lunch with an old client, covering the discussion of future business and therefore no need for cloak and dagger conversations! After a delicious Hendrick and cucumber, a perfect cured salmon starter arrived, with a bottle of Macon-Villages and fillet of Hake to follow. The relaxed ambience of 50 Cheyne Walk is such that conversation of business was soon concluded and topics of conversation covered between friends were soon in full flow. With properties needing showing in the afternoon and exchange to attend to, sadly lunch was short and sweet – 50 Cheyne Walk will certainly be revisited.. perhaps on a day when our diaries are less busy….
